After acquiring a tripod a month or so ago and practicing long exposures, it was really exciting this week when the annual ‘Perseid Meteor Shower’ lit up the Northern sky. Sadly my venture out to the countryside in the early hours was short lived. I had work the next day and being in the middle of nowhere, down a country lane with a lot of equipment kind of spooked me. In the 30 minutes I was there I saw some beautiful meteors but sadly wasn’t lucky enough to get one in a photo. Still, the pictures of the starry sky look cool! I am enjoying trying night photography right now, I shall endeavour to shoot in some better locations over the next month and hopefully get some good results.
